It should be unsurprising to you that, after making my affections clear to your daughter Leonor and crowning her the Princess of Love and Beauty, I wish to make her my bride and partner, to be bound in the Seven and inseparable for all of our days.

I have made my intentions clear, but am nonetheless aware of my own limitations as a husband, being only ten and seven. However, I have squired under Ser Rolland Baratheon, am now training in administration under my father, Ser Ronald, and warded in Storm's End as a close personal friend of Lord Renly.

As a result, I am burdened with an expectation that, despite my young years, I may be able to earn a place in my brother's household, or my dear friend Renly's, such that I may maintain enough income to support Leonor. For as much as she has my heart, I have no wish for her to love a pauper.

To this end, I wish to beg you for the hand of Leonor, so that I may know you as a son, and she and I may raise children in a place of security and love. I do not believe that passing into adulthood will automatically equip me for what is a blessing and a burden, but I know that by the end of next year, I will either have proven my worth as a courtier, or proven that I am unworthy of Leonor.

I therefore propose to you, and beg of you, that Leonor and I may be betrothed, and plan to be wed at Griffin's Roost in the third month of the year 294. I have confirmed with my Lord brother that the Conningtons will pay for a tournament, though all that matters to me is that my heart and hers are joined, and joined forever.
