Silberland’s Swift and Perfect Invasion, Mid-Late 1940: The Silberland invasion of Luminara and Dutcharia were, by all means, flawless. Luminara came first, because of Silberland’s prior invasion of Belgara, Silberland was able to attack from two sides; from Silberland and from Belgara. Because of its small size, Luminara was unable to mount a proper defense and swiftly fell to the hands of Silberland. Silberland did not stop after invading Luminara, moving straight into Dutcharia. The Dutcharians did manage to put up a decent defense, but their front lines were devastated by the air superiority of Silberland. The king and royal family of Dutcharia attempted to flee to Albionia, but were soon lost at sea when their transport ship was sunk by a Silberlandian submarine. Alliances Drag Others into the War, Late 1940: With the invasion of its two allies, Luminara and Dutcharia, Albionia decided to turn the Allied Stripes into a large coalition, taking in Silvanada and the United Xolotlian States as its allies in the war against the Crimson Cross. Silberland, feeling threatened by the new allies that Albionia has acquired, decided to make the Crimson Cross a coalition as well, and find more members. Silberland looked to the south and the east for new allies, and after a small discussion, and a shared enemy, the Kingdom of Vesperia, a historical rival of Albionia, joined the Crimson Cross. Shortly after, the Suomara joined the war on the side of the Crimson Axis, and with Suomara joining the Crimson Axis, the Stalwarican Republic joined up as well. Silberland then looked towards the large nation of Volgaria to the north. A war with the People’s Nation of Volgaria would be a total loss, for Volgaria has the largest navy and army in all of Iscan, however Silberland had other ideas. Utilizing a captured Dutcharian warship, Silberland staged a battle in which tricked Volgaria into thinking that the Allied Stripes is the enemy, thus Volgaria joined the Crimson Cross.
