Sex, the other Unjoined, and their SOs

With all the talk I've seen on this sub around Diabete SAing the Joined and the issue of consent, what about the other survivors?

Are Lakshmi and her husband still having sex? Is that considered more okay since her husband (obviously, given the fact that they have a kid) consented to having sex with his wife while he was still an individual? Where are those lines drawn?
