Questions about gyno surgery and advice needed

Hey guys I’m currently 18 and am trying to get gyno surgery over the summer. I have two options of either getting the surgery with a local surgeon who doesn’t specialize in gyno surgery but would be much easier for me to recover because he’s in my hometown so I wouldn’t have to worry about traveling. Or I could get the surgery with Dr Reddy in Atlanta but would be much harder post op because I’d have to get my parents who are both pretty busy to take time off and take me to and from the surgery. If I went to Atlanta, how long should I expect to stay there or would it be possible to go just for the surgery and get my parents to drive me back right after? Any advice would be super helpful because I have no idea what I should do or how the recovery process would go.
