Omnisphere question

Can someone help me understand Omnisphere? Is it not possible to buy 1 or 2 now that the 3 is released? Does Omnisphere 3 contain all sounds from 2 and more or is it a completely new plugin? And also, how many sounds/instruments does Omnisphere 3 have?
