Scared to put kitty under for teeth cleaning

Hey all…We’ve got to take out kitty to the vet soon, and they’ve been recommending we get his teeth professionally cleaned for a few visits now.

I’m absolutely terrified of our cat going under for something like a professional teeth cleaning and never waking up. I just don’t know what to do.

Does anyone have any advice or support? Or maybe I just need to be scared straight, bite the bullet, and have them clean his teeth.
