[Cartier Question] Santos Galbee - Help !

Hi

My wife was given by her dad a Cartier Santos Galbee watch many years ago (that he won!).. Its extremely sentimental to her as he has died since..

The strap is now very loose & Cartier say it must be replaced but we dont have the money for a genuine replacement..

Im really lost and would REALLY appreciate it if anyone has any suggestions on what we might be able to replace it with that would be cheaper but fit (leather, or some knid of unbranded bracelet?). It is a small, so with 14 mm lugs I think & a splt pin connector
