Dental Emergency? Options?

Good Afternoon,

I am 100% and receive dental care at my (very) local VA hospital. 3 months ago, one of my molars broke and I scheduled an appointment for mid-Nov. During the time I was waiting for that appointment, a molar on the opposite site of my mouth cracked, too. Yay.

During my mid-nov appointment, I was prescribed antibiotics and told to wait 2 weeks for the community care referral. Now 3 weeks later, I called to see where that was at... only to find out the referral had never been put in.

I called the patient advocate on Thursday, and the VA dentist called me yesterday (Friday). The dentist said they'd put it in right away, again.

Do I have any other options to push this along? I'm considering an ER visit for what I anticipate will result in some heavier pain medication, because it's quite awful. Recommendations?
