Hypothetical: How ethical would a prison with a 100 question escape game show, while being surveilled behind a one-way mirror for people to watch?
Ok so this might sound weird, but I was thinking about a hypothetical prison scenario where there is a cylindrical tower with multiple floors, where you have to correctly answer questions to move higher. This would be an underground prison, so they would be free to escape if they reached the top.
About once or twice a week, a random prisoner would be brought into the bottom level of the tower. For each question they get right, they can go up one floor. If they lose, they are brought back down (Haven't figured how that would be done yet) and put back into their cells.
I image the tower would be a half-circle looking tower, since there would be a wall between the prison area half and the spectator half. The latter would have a full 1 way glass and automatically raising platform to keep up with the contestant.
The ethical part of this is the hunger-games type scenario. Is it ethical to give people hope of a near impossible escape while having an audience to entertain by it? Again, I don't even know where this idea came from, but I'm invested now.
