Yes, our bodies makes it's own version of THC (cannabinoid).
Every mammal has it's own has it's own Endocannibinoid system (ECS in short), which is our bodies "balancing thermostart" which is responsible for regulating these main things:
Mood and stress,
Pain,
Appetite,
Memory learning,
Immune system
Sleep.

In this post I will answer a few questions:
Why we don't feel "the high" and how do these cannabinoids work?
How to release these cannabinoids?
How important are these cannabinoids to our own system?
What are their purposes and what would happen if we didn't have these natural regulators?

Q: Why we don't feel "the high" and how do these cannabinoids work?
A: Well we aren’t supposed to. The body’s own cannabinoids, called anandamide and 2-AG, are released in tiny bursts only when needed to keep things balanced, like mood, stress, pain, appetite, and memory. They don’t stick around long, and are broken down almost instantly, anandamide in seconds, 2-AG in a few minutes, so you will never feel these effects as same as other cannabinoids (THC, HHC and so on..). THC, on the other hand, is stronger, longer-lasting, and hits receptors across the whole brain, which is why it actually gets you high, while your natural cannabinoids just quietly regulate and stabilize your system.

Q:How to release these cannabinoids?
A: Anything that makes your body move, feel pleasure or make you relaxed (except depressant type drugs) will help you release these cannabinoids. For example exercising, sunlight, socializing, meditation will release these noids.

Q: Q: How important are these cannabinoids to our own system?
A: They are crucial. Anandamide and 2-AG are your body’s natural regulators, constantly keeping everything in balance mood, stress, pain, appetite, sleep, memory, immune function. Without them, your body would struggle to maintain balannce leaving you anxious, higher chance of getting autoimmune disease and other imbalances. They are basically the body’s internal thermostat for overall health.

Q: What are their purposes and what would happen if we didn't have these natural regulators?
A: Their main purpose is homeostasis and keeping everything in check. Anandamide gives short bursts of calm and bliss, helping with mood, stress, and learning, while 2-AG manages bigger signals like inflammation, pain, and immune responses. Together, they make sure your body doesn’t overreact or underreact to stressors, injuries, or environmental changes. If we didn't have this internal thermostat our life be pure hell and agony. Your brain and body would have no built-in system to balance mood, stress, or pain, leaving you anxious, irritable, sleep deprived and more sensitive to pain. Your immune system would be weaker, and simple tasks like learning, eating or even resting could feel out of control. Basically, the ECS is deadly important keeping life from feeling chaotic.

I will also attach pictures of 2-AG, anandamide and D9-THC so you can compare the molecules yourself without needing to search.
If you have read until here I would appreciate a upvote, it gives me more motivation to find these fun facts about our own system. Also, don't hesitate to ask, I will answer your questions :)))

Did you know that our bodies make natural "THC"?
