Hate the word "Tribe"

Am I the only one here who hates the use of the word "tribe" when discussion Nigeria ethnic groups.

Doesn't it leave a weird taste in your mouth.

There is this primitive connotation that comes with it imo.

I prefer "ethnic group" at least

What do you guys think?
