Having a dad like mine is so suffocating

Im 16

And by the time I’m 18 I plan to have a job.

But then my dad said that it’s best If i just go straight to college and work after.

But what? My tuition is around 25k dollars

And we’re like maybe lower middle class.

And tbh their financial planning is bad… like the way they do money is the opposite of what I was taught in personal finance class … (but then again what can a 16 year old know abt that)

AND when I asked for a bank account last year my dad WAS FUMING!!! It was so hard. My heart was beating nonstop when we were setting it up. And i just had to laugh it off

I’m still planning on applying to jobs anyways but it’s gonna be hard. My heart will beat nonstop again.

Because my dad is so against anything online. Like anything online he will assume it’s a scam or something.

BUT MOST BUSINESS ASK YOU TO APPLY ONLINE…

I will try to apply in person still though.

But Also I’m not allowed to take public transport. And my dad hates driving. But i would always need a ride from him so im stressed.

So I’m wondering if there’s an easier way to do things. Also he knows all my moves tbh so it’s not like i can do jobs remotely.

I actually tried content creating and ugc and i got scolded

But yeah.. i really don’t know how to deal with this. So any advice would be appreciated

AND I DONT WANT TO MAKE THIS TOO LONG but he also is against me moving out (though he wont stop me he says) but its clear that he does not want my independence

And once i told him i wanted to be more independent and leave (i said leave because I was mid crashout/argument and i was like in tears)
