Hi y'all, it's the dev of timeline-memory again. I know I just made a post here, but I've been getting back into development and I have a pretty major update here that I think people might be interested in. As always, I announce these in the discord, but I know not everyone is in it.

Lore Management Mode

Lore management mode is an 'agent' that autonomously(ish) queries the timeline, checks current lorebooks, and then updates lorebooks with the information it gathers. In this way, you can ensure all of your lore is consistent without ever having to manually update a lorebook.

How do I set it up?

Import the preset here, create a profile with this preset, and select a model that excels at agentic tasks (Claude 4.5, Grok 4.1 fast, GLM 4.6, Kimi). Set it as the profile for 'lore management' in the extension dropdown. The actual task can take a while, as it will verify the entire lorebook to update it.

What are the benefits?

No more updating lorebooks manually! Since it actually queries the timeline, you don't have to worry about long-running arcs getting forgotten by summaries, as the actual text will be referenced for these lorebooks. In this way, you will have a consistent 'ground truth' for your long-running chats. Characters, events, places, etc, can all be maintained autonomously without ever having to modify it yourself. And as always, both the preset and the initial user message are completely modifiable - do as you wish!
