How do you feel about novel like Episode stories?

Ones that you cannot make choices or the choices are absolutely meaningless and truly doesn’t differ from each other? Me; I don’t mind but I wish the bio or first chapter explain it’s a visual novel. Some authors do put a disclaimer but to the ones who don’t- just leave me puzzled on why I’m just simply reading 😂
