Rent Prices

Seriously, what’s going on the spike of rent prices in Memphis? I am a family of three looking to move out my apartments to rent a house, but the way these rent prices are it makes me want to stay where I’m at. Luckily we pay $1100 now but to move in a house in the same area or apartments 2br starting $1200 to $1500 or move. Then that’s not even including the other bills/expenses. We both work for the state so we have consistent checks, but anybody who works for the state knows we’re underpaid plus only get paid twice a month. Cost of living is going up but not the pay. Then if you move where it’s cheaper it’s a food desert, not enough resources, poor infrastructure and everything is far away. I don’t see how Memphians are paying this high ass rent at all😕
