For warzone the new resurgence map Havens hollow is now live as well as a two new Verdansk pois signal station new, factory remastered, battle royale casual, resurgence casual, max 5 attachments, overkill default, wildcards removed, weapon build sharing, new equipment needle drone lethal, pinpoint grenade tactical, phantom signal tactical warzone exclusive, echo unit field upgrade, improved perks and categories, adaptive new, grapple hook tactical ltms, wall jump in ltms, default tactical sprint removed, combat roll with mountaineer perk. This year’s approach to Call of Duty: Warzone focuses on simplifying systems while strengthening identity across the create-a-class experience. Loadouts have been streamlined to six total items, giving players a cleaner starting point and allowing more powerful or experimental gear to surface through a rotating pool of loot. Equipment has been condensed to eliminate overlap so that each item can serve a distinct purpose. And several items across the roster have been updated to give them clearer gameplay identities and more deliberate use cases across a wide variety of combat scenarios. Perks have undergone a considerable evolution: Wildcards have been removed entirely and Perk categories reorganized to open up fresher combinations and more competitive decision making. Underused Perks have been rebalanced or replaced to increase overall variety, ensuring that every selection feels meaningful. When it comes to Perks, it's hard to truly outshine combat utility - so they expect many of the changes they've made to challenge players to seriously weigh the tradeoffs of choosing one over another. To look at just a few, Reactive Armor introduces a new enticing selection by triggering an EMP pulse when armor breaks while still regenerating equipped armor to it's maximum after briefly disengaging from a fight, providing a powerful edge during hit-and-run tactics. New additions such as Adaptive further expand build diversity by changing benefits based on armor state, offering mobility bonuses when damaged and improved weapon handling when fully plated. This Perk also merges old effects by adding audible warnings near traps and delayed trigger timing when equipment is activated. In a bolder move, we've updated Survivor to provide one-hit protection against ballistic weapons while fully armored, which will protect players from being downed in a single shot by snipers. Bomb Squad now provides stronger protection against explosive threats by also reducing damage from Killstreaks, giving defensive builds more reliable counterplay in high-impact situations. Movement has been tuned specifically for Warzone’s pacing across large maps and is directly impacted by our adjustments to Perks. Default tactical sprint has been removed, but baseline sprint speeds have been increased to create smoother flow during combat and rotation. Players who prefer short bursts of extra speed can still access tactical sprint through the adjusted Sprinter Perk, which now grants it outright, allows reloading while tactical sprinting, and reduces movement penalties while using equipment. The adjusted Mountaineer Perk now includes combat roll functionality to help maintain momentum after falls, further reduces fall damage, and improves ladder climb speed, reinforcing its identity as a vertical mobility specialist. Movement remains a core pillar of the Warzone experience, so they'll be keeping a close eye on how current Perks perform and where there are opportunities for new or improved mechanics. On that note, they'll be adding wall jump and the grapple hook tactical to all Limited-Time Modes throughout Season 01, and as always, keeping a very close eye on feedback. Lethal and Tactical equipment have also seen a considerable refresh, with a mix of powerful new additions and meaningful adjustments to fan-favorite tools. New Lethals like the Needle Drone and Point Turret from Black Ops 7 introduce explosive and area-control options straight into the loot pool. Other changes are being implemented, such as C4 no longer requiring the remote detonator or the Combat Axe returning but with improved throw speed as a replacement for Throwing Knives. On the Tactical front, they've introduced several new options that can truly swing the odds in your favor. The Phantom Signal causes nearby opponents to emit sound for up to 10 seconds, serving as the perfect solution against hidden or Ghosted players lurking nearby. There's the Psych Grenade, which releases a cloud of hallucinogenic gas that causes affected players to see short-lived phantom copies of themselves and pings on the mini-map - creating some real chaos in the midst of combat. To call out one notable addition, players can now cook Flash grenades for up to 3 additional flashes, providing a massive advantage when used properly. They're also launching the first of our counterplay interactions, or what they've referred to as our rock-paper-scissors system. Starting in Season 01, the Stim Shot can be used immediately after being hit by a Flash or Concussion grenade to remove their effects entirely. For those looking to push through area denial, the Smoke Grenade can now douse lingering flames left behind by a Molotov Cocktail or even a Napalm Killstreak. Together, these updates reinforce a central design goal for the year: to make choices more meaningful, to sharpen the identity of every item and Perk, and to evolve Warzone’s foundation without compromising the experience players know and love. But this is just the starting point for the year. As players dig into the new Perk ecosystem, they will be closely monitoring performance data and community feedback to identify areas that are not competitive enough and make additional tuning passes where needed. Their goal is to keep this system evolving throughout the year through targeted adjustments that strengthen build diversity, maintain healthy balance, and ensure that every Perk choice remains a meaningful decision across all playstyles. In fact, we already have another slate of changes lined up as early as Season 02. On that note, thank you and be sure to keep an eye open for more details in our patch notes coming soon. Rotational Aim Assist Changes are coming to warzone. The Call of Duty: Warzone patch notes are now available before you drop in.
