help with Eden and Great hawk

to put it simply, i can’t seem to get kidnapped?? at the start of my game i went in the forest to get chased by eden a few times but to no avail, i’ve been focused on other stuff but now im kinda going back to him + great hawk (whichever one i get kidnapped by first) and i just never get the thing about being hunted? i did get it once and it turned out to be gwylan 🥀 same with great hawk, no matter how deeper i’ve gone into the moor it never says im beibg hunted. do i just have awful luck or is there anything i might be doing wrong??
