Theorycrafting Alternate Death Star

Been talking with some friends about what a Death Star like space station without the giant laser beam would look like. Basically what if they took the Death star itself, cut out the laser and scaled down the reactor accordingly would look like if it focused more on its fleet and starship production capacities stacking hangar space. How many Star Destroyers could it feasibly hold/manufacture?
