Why do people act like playing MLBB is embarrassing?

So my console broke a couple months ago and while im waiting to fix it, I started playing MLBB just to have something to do and I actually ended up loving it. Its fun, nd it keeps me sane when im bored.

But every time I tell someone I play MLBB they just give me this strange look. Like I’m supposed to be ashamed or something, I didn’t even realize there was this “cringe” label attached to the game until people started reacting that way.

Im not super deep into the community or anything so maybe I’m missing the joke but why is it embarrassing? Is it because it’s a mobile game?
