Romance is unattainable

Rant

I know many people have already said many things about this topic, but I'm frustrated and I want to rant into the void.

Dating is insane nowadays. I want to meet a real person, not a dating profile. I hang out with my friends, I go out on the weekends, I'm in college, and it seems to be a consensus that people are afraid to be romantic. I'm not here to get into all the issues that may be causing this but my frustration is because I am a 24 year old woman that does not need but wants connection.

Part of my frustration is I have a lot of my shit together, at least as much as I think I do. I'm saving for a down payment on a house, I go to therapy, I've spent a long time working on who I want to be and being grounded. I love myself. I want to share my life with another person without it either being so sterile I feel like I'm in a docs office or so lustful that I feel like meat.

This is a clusterfuck of my emotions so pardon how this is not a fully fleshed out rant. Thank you.
