Blame the kicking game all you want, but...

CFP Competition

The real issue coming into the playoffs is that we've played two defenses with a pulse (granted Indiana is one of the best defenses in the country) and we've averaged 12 points in those games. 14 against Texas, 10 against Indiana. Heading into the CFP, that won't be good enough

There's still absolutely a chance that our offense gets better, like last year. But the red zone offense needs to improve a ton. It's not that we need an elite offense, we just need to be able to score 3 touchdowns each game. Low red zone playcalling has no real rhyme or reason to it, and the execution is even worse

Obviously, teams with defenses as good as ours usually find a way to win, but when you're not scoring, every little thing on defense is magnified

In real time, I thought Jermaine Matthews Jr. had a bad game, but really he was only really beat twice in 60 minutes and both were contested catches. That's not bad...but it seems bad when you only have one real explosive play of your own

All in all, the defense played great and both defenses combined probably won Pavia the Heisman
