My dad is toxic

Background: I’m in my mid 20s living with my parents, have a job, financially independent.

Event: today I went to get dinner with my parents and during the dinner table, I start talking, and my dad says “can you lower your voice your very loud”, keep in mind I wasn’t loud and just talking normally and even my mom said I’m not talking loud. So I tell my dad ok I’ll try to go lower and I start talking and then again my dad says “that’s still loud”. Keep in my mind my dad def talks loud and not in normal calm voice so I thought that was a bit hypocritical. I tell my dad fine I’ll stop talking then. The whole dinner table was then silent the whole time and the car ride back to the house. Am I missing something or can you guys agree this isn’t something normal?
