My problem with “everything collapsing, we need more people to fix it,” view
My country is battered by ongoing conflict, poverty, bad educations, deep rooted corruption, broken economy and useless populist politics who see people as idiots who'd buy anything they say. Birth rate is low, and people leaving because they don't believe it will ever be better here, yet it's somehow assumed that increasing birth-rate miraculously fix all our problems, so they constantly talk about it. I can't reason why? Is it even moraly justified. They don't even hide, they simply need more soldiers/workers units to fix the mess we're in.
And it's not only about my country's situation, I've noticed that this penicious idea is mentioned quite often nowadays.
