AITA for wanting my long distance boyfriend to focus more on me than anything else?
I (a 23 year old M) and my long distance boyfriend (a 21 year old M) have been dating for almost 2 and a half years. He’s always been very loving and caring, I always try to make sure he’s heard and feels heard as well as loved and appreciated. We've never really argued only disagreed and respected each-others disagreements. Recently, I’ve been noticing that my boyfriend has been putting things in higher priority than me ,which sometimes makes me only a little bit upset but I always try not to say anything because I hate to be that partner that only starts drama or makes their partner feel like theres always going to be a conflict with things. Hes currently stationed in Japan and I’m still stationed in the Americas but hope that I can join him and be stationed in Japan too. Hes been on a mission for the past few weeks since I’ve arrived at my new duty station so I haven’t been able to talk to him. When i finally did, his first priority was to finish his work quickly so he can fix and continue to work on his car, then he wants to work on the paperwork to change his job assignment that might make it harder for us to join orders when the time comes. AITA for wanting and preferring him to just focus on our relationship a little more , talk with me a little more and work towards joining our orders? I’m torn between letting him operate how he is currently so that hopefully he’ll change his focus to me and Asking him to focus more on us or to at least bring me into his fixations so I can at least feel like I’m apart of his life still.
