If you believe in eternal conscious torment, why would you ever have children?

This is a genuine question, not a redditor "gotcha". I genuinely want to know.

If, as an adult, I believed there was even a slim chance of bringing a life into the world that could end up suffering forever, I would get a vasectomy immediately. Why don't more people have that reaction?
