Question about Genesis Pass

This is the first time I've reached a point in the game where I feel like I can progress far enough to lib. I bought the Genesis Pass on CW on my Ren because I want to main swap. How does the traces of darkness work with the pass? Does everyone in the party get the same base amount of trace and the ones with the pass get 3x? Or does it split the traces amount depending on party size like crystal prices?
