A two-hour investigative street gonzo documentary detailing an alleged scheme where Wall Street lawyers misappropriated $2 billion intended to fiz th Hurricane Maria relief efforts, funds directly stolen from Puerto Rican taxpayers.

Eight years after Hurricane Maria destroyed the power grid, this film travels to the heart of the crisis, highlighting the ongoing, dire living conditions faced by residents. While legal battles over debt restructuring raged in New York courtrooms, citizens on the ground still live with unstable power, unreliable infrastructure, and a government struggling to recover.
This documentary asks the tough questions: Where did the money go? And who is truly paying the price for the island's recovery?

In this explosive two-hour documentary, we pull back the curtain on one of the most egregious financial scandals in modern history. We expose the high-powered Wall Street lawyers and consulting firms who masterminded a scheme to siphon over $2 billion dollars from Puerto Rican taxpayers through the longest municipal bankruptcy in American history: the PREPA (Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority) bankruptcy.

But this film is more than just a financial thriller. It’s a raw, unflinching look at the human cost of this corruption. We travel across the island to document the dire living conditions of its residents, whose lives have dramatically deteriorated in the 8 years since Hurricane Maria annihilated the power grid. The crisis is compounded by a web of controversial players and policies: LUMA Energy, the private company now managing the island's transmission and distribution system, has been a lightning rod for criticism over persistent outages, constant rate hikes, and a failure to modernize the grid. The federally appointed Financial Oversight and Management Board (FOMB), called "La Junta" by locals, has implemented severe austerity measures that many argue have prioritized debt repayment over the welfare of the people. We investigate what happened to the $13 billion in FEMA reconstruction funds designated by the Trump administration, and why so little has translated into a stable, reliable power system.

This is a story of fiscal malfeasance, political negligence, and a resilient community demanding justice.
