Therapist went beyond what is acceptable for open job?
Long story short, during a meeting, my therapist told me his family member had a job opening that would be a decent fit. Lower than my previous job, but that is that job market for you.... He told me she'd pull the job from the pile and give me an interview. One week goes by, therapist cancels my next appointment.
Radio silence from the job. Then therapist cancels again""feeling sick").
Next appointment he tells me he heard some feedback about my resume "my photo made me look too young".
Next day workday send me a decline email for the position.
I took that as the message to cancel my sessions with the therapist as shit just didn't feel right.
What are your thoughts? He feels like he crossed a boundary, then made promises he couldn't keep, then as far as I'm concerned, he lied about why he couldn't make his session.
At $200/pop I feel like was was fucked over by hi, especially for him knowing how vulnerable I was in my job search. All in all, therapy has managed to make me feel worse than I did before I started. Good job shrink.
