Trying to keep it together

Kid just had his 5th febrile seizure in 2 years I know they’re benign and he returns to normal after but this time after a 2 min seizure it took like 15 min for him to come to and be himself after. By the time we made it to the ER he was up and alert so we turned around and came home … didn’t want to put him through the trauma just for them to give him Tylenol again. Let me tell you even after 5 of these things and knowing what to do and what to expect the panic has not gone away when it happens. We can remain calm enough to do what we need to but god damn it’s terrifying watching your kid seize.
