Are We All Getting Ripped Off By Traditional Golf Trade In Credit? WTT

I just tried trading in my 2-year-old driver at a big box store for a new model, and they offered me $75 in credit. I know that same club sells on eBay for $200! Why do we keep accepting these terrible trade in values? What's the hidden cost of convenience? Has anyone used a specialized trading service to get closer to the actual market value, or is taking the low offer just part of the game?
