Hemorrhoidectemy BM questions

Hey, I recently posted about passing a BM and this pain of being stuck, but out of curiosity should I be waiting for the BM? I don’t want to force it at all, taking milk of magnesia now, miralax, drinking a lot of water. And about to be on my 5th day post op. How did it happen for you guys? I did have 2 so far on day 3, they were really painful but not big, or at all what other people described which scares me a bit. But did you guys have to force it at all? Or were you able to let it happen on its own?
