When a Whistler ski day turns into everything but skiing
I was in Whistler last week and honestly came away feeling like Vail just doesn’t care about their customers anymore.
I wasted almost 2 hours dealing with an account issue that wouldn’t let me access my pass. After getting nowhere, I was sent to guest services and stood in line for another 30 minutes. By the time everything was finally sorted, I rushed back to the Whistler gondola… only for it to break down. That meant another hour lost and having to haul all our gear — with a family in tow — over to Blackcomb just to get on the mountain. Then we had to take Peak 2 Peak back to Whistler to actually ski.
We didn’t reach Roundhouse until 1 PM, and at that point I was absolutely livid. After all that time, we only got a couple of runs in. I complained, and their idea of making it right was offering a $10 food voucher.
So yeah… $200 for two runs. Absolutely unbelievable.
