I'm rather sad about the current predicament. I bought a bunch of PC parts on black friday/cyber monday so I can finally upgrade from using office PCs for the last decade. So with the guidance of my PC part savy friend, we bought the parts I needed... except one: the RAM.

RAM prices were still high on the two discount days, so we decided to hold off on buying it. Unfortunately RAM prices only got more expensive. So we decided to try the second hand market. There's plenty of DDR4 RAM for good prices in my area, but less so for DDR5, which is what we need after we decided to go with AM5.

While waiting for something to pop up on the 2nd hand market, RAM prices only continued to inflate. One listing on ebay we've been eyeing for 32GB RAM was selling for a decent (still rather high historically) price; again we held off and then that sold out entirely.

So feeling the pressure mounting and time window slipping between my finger, I finally pulled the trigger today and bought a RAM kit.

My box full of computer parts sitting near the door way for a week and a half must now bear to wait another week for the RAM to arrive. I can a fine layer of dust on top of the GPU box from being undisturbed for so long.

After a week, finally may all my PC parts be united with overpriced RAM so I can finally experience using a PC that is not barely office grade.

This Box of PC Parts Has Been Sitting Here Doing Nothing for 3/2 of a Week Due to RAM Prices
