Laptop randomly shutting off

For reference, I have an HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop specifically. This is definitely a hardware issue since it started after my Laptop took a bit of a beating thanks to my brother, the main issue is that the PC doesn't turn on most of the time, it's not a screen issue as far as I can tell since hooking it up to a monitor does nothing. The power button still glows green when turned on, and sometimes the fan starts going, but I can't do anything. One albeit temporary fix I've found is to press down firmly around the middle/right of the keyboard, which sometimes gets it to turn on, but it just as easily turns off again if nudged or even just randomly, I'm also aware that's probably not good for my laptop so I'm trying not to do it if I can avoid it. Anything I can do?
