laptop buying suggestion

any laptop expert can help to answer, I'm trying to find zenbook or any ultra light laptop, the thing I'm finding odd is that latest specs laptop that are imported ones cost 3k or 2k less, so my ask here is is it worth buying imported laptop and what's the catch with imported laptops.
