The Reward Is The Gratitude

Did my first actual defib today, was at the northernmost extraction point on Dam when a guy went down from a combo of long range raider fire and an angry Hornet. Sniper took a shot at me too, but me and my patient took cover by the buses and I managed to defibrillate him. He managed to extract safely.

Then a dude in That Outfit sort of…ran at me like a maniac throwing stun grenades. I took him down efficiently through means of a Bettina clip to the face area.

Then someone tried to third-party me with grenades. When a raider came up the nearby steps with a gun out, I assumed they were my aggressor and fired. They took me down (I had a partial clip and had taken some damage), and SCOLDED me as they knocked me out - something like “we could have been friendly but you shot at me”.

The irony’s not lost on me, but I still came away with a warm glow of having made someone’s gaming better, and gotten some payback on somebody else.
