Is MCC really still considered "broken" by some people?
Hey yall, sorry if the title seems dismissive or anything but I've been getting back into MCC recently and I remember reading a few comments before about how the game is "still broken".
I've only replayed the campaigns so I can only go based on that, but from what I played it seems fine. The only parity issues and bugs left that im aware of are mostly things that you'd only notice if you speedrun the OG versions, you watched a side-by-side comparison video or you played each classic Halo religiously ever since each respective game came out. I say this as a guy who grew up on these games, I'm no tourist.
Is it a purist thing? I know some people swear by playing on the OG hardware if you can, but idk I see some people talk about MCC in the big 2025 like its a broken mess that 343 abandoned. I could understand saying this sort of stuff when MCC first came out and when it was transitioning to PC, but now?
I dunno, maybe you guys can enlighten me on what issues remain. For me its easily the best way to play classic Halo at least when it comes to singleplayer. It might be a different story for speedrunners or people big on multiplayer but I always assumed MCC was the best way to go for most people regardless of when they started the series.
