Magic circle has a dimple. Im following a pattern but still having the issue.

So I am following a pattern and have made no changes.

R1. Make a magic circle, make 6 puff stitches in it.

R2. 2hdc in each space between the puffs.

Immediately upon finishing this round I have a dimple and it won't lie flat.

So I'm trying to find a fix. Maybe if I go down a hook size for the puffs and then back up to the required size it will lie more flat?

Perhaps I should do 7 puffs and then do a decrease on round 2 or 3?

Maybe i just need to loosen my tension?

I tried searching up an answer because im positive I've seen it before, but all I can find is how to fix wavy flat circles (too many increases) and circles that are supposed to be flat turning into a bowl (not enough increases) and nothing for just the center turning into a popping fidget toy with the rest of it acting normally. Any tips?
