29m, would appreciate another opinion on my retirement approach

I'm trying my best to set myself up for retirement and take it seriously, and while I've seen a lot of people talk about their 401ks and Roth IRAs, I haven't seen much talk about pensions. Truth be told I found out about this community about 2 months ago and I've been super invested (ba dum tss!) about doing it right.

I work as a state employee for NY. I'm currently doing the following and would love for someone to share their opinion:

1). I currently participate in a pension plan offered by NYS. Participation is mandatory. I'm treating this as a defacto "bond" allocation since it's income for life when I retire.

2). Governmental 457(b). I'm currently putting 15% of my salary, and while I'm set to retire in 2059 (that's when my pension would be full and eligible), I'm putting that money into a index 2070 TDF. It's managed by my agency, and it allows me to stay more invested into stocks and less in bonds for a longer time, and it rebalances as I get closer to 2070. I want it more on the aggressive side I guess, but there aren't too many options with my plan.

3). I'm maxing out my Roth IRA, something I started in November of this year. I feel really behind but I'm planning on maxing it out come Jan 2026 as well. I'm currently doing a 70/30 split with FZROX/FTIHX. It makes sense to me and I've seen it mentioned here quite a bit. There aren't any bonds and I prefer that given my situation so I feel like it can be aggressive, but I don't know if this approach is right or if a 2070 TDF would be better.

Thoughts on where I could improve?
