Computer tries to play audio out of G733 headset even if it's off as long as the dongle is still connected

i just got a g733 headset and when i turn then off but leave the dongle connected audio doesn't play out of my laptop speakers, like its still trying to play audio from the headset, is there a way to fix it so i don't have to remove the dongle every time im not using the headset?
