Thought I had about abstraction and the basement

Wanted to post this because the new trailers made me have a thought.

This is a poorly evidenced theory but I wanted to get it out there.

What if abstraction is an inevitable consequence, but the cellar was not the original programmed solution? With the recent teasers, I think it’s very likely that there are failsafe “emergency exits” when a person abstracts, but Caine doesn’t want to be left alone, so he keeps the abstractions so no one catches on, and/or so that he’s never truly left alone, because being with abstractions is better than being with nobody.

Obviously the abstraction music playing with the exit door in that teaser is one thing, but also the fact that Kaufmo seemed to really charge towards/go for red things and the door is bright red could also be something
