Hyper heat or Propane furnace?
Hello all. Looking for some advice/opinions. I have a 1500 sq ft house and currently have oil boiler with baseboard hearers. (hot water). The boiler is getting older and I am looking to replace before it breaks on me in the middle of winter. I am currently stuck between Hyper Heat Electric ducted system and a gas furnace system, both ducted. Electricity where I live is .12 cents a KWH and propane is $3.50 a gallon. It commonly gets below freezing (northeast) and I definitely am aware the hyper heat isnt the best below freezing (even though its rated for -22) but I have heard from a lot of people the electricity bill becomes crazy below freezing. Either way I go ductwork is being ran, I just dont know what to feed it with. The propane company also charges a yearly fee for the tank. No natural gas on site. Thank you
