Do you as woman genuinly compliment other woman?

I get a lot of compliments from women, but guys don’t approach me. I posted about this on offmychest recently, and some of the replies honestly hit me really hard.

People said things like:

women’s compliments are fake

women hype each other for no reason

they only say nice things to make another woman feel better

and that if I were actually attractive, I would’ve known by now because men would have shown interest

Reading that made something inside me drop. It made me feel like maybe I’m actually ugly and I’ve just been blind to it. I keep replaying those comments in my head, wondering if everything I’ve ever been told by other women was just empty or polite.

So I genuinely want to know: Do women actually mean it when they compliment another woman? Or is it usually out of habit, kindness, or to avoid being rude?

I’m not trying to get validation. I’m just really shaken and confused right now, and I want to understand what’s real.
