Spartan Rage

So what is it? I assumed it was kratos going all out to what he used to be but then I played gow 3 and saw he has it there as well

Is it just him unleashing his pure godly power? If so then why is Spartan Wrath arguably stronger? It does more damage than fury and makes no sense to me
