[Discussion] Did I kill a PMC with a grenade after I died?

I was playing scav on factory and ran up on a PMC camping stairs. Being that I spawned with a vog in my pocket I prepared to chuck it at the corner and bounce it at him. Instead, I got shotgunned in the back by a PMC (Who was level 31 with a bit less than 120 hours of gameplay and a 12 KD) as I was about to throw it and I could see him rush my body as I fell over dead and when I looked at the death screen profile, he was naked with only a camper axe, which would mean he's dead assumedly.

So I'm basically asking if this sounds like that situation or if I'm misinterpretting it.
