what format of music should I use

Hey all, I'm trying to move away from streaming as my primary form of listening, but I can't decide which route I should go. I collect records and I have quite a few, but I'm wanting something that I can take on the go. I'm not sure if I should go with cassettes, CDs, or if I should pick up an Mp3 player. I would love to have massive cassette and CD collections someday, but I'm a college student and I can really only justify going one route for now. I know an Mp3 player is likely my most reliable and overall affordable option, but I'm always drawn in by the charm of physical media. Thoughts?
