My family/friends just don’t get my love of this line of work!

My first long-term job was as a dietary aide in a nursing home and it’s what made me love working in kitchens. I did that job for almost 10 years through high school, college, and little after. Since then, I’ve worked as a dish washer, pizza delivery guy, corporate trainer, corporate manager, and fine dining line cook/expo.

I am now a full-time teacher. I love my teaching gig, but just couldn’t stand not being in that fast paced environment and getting that thrill of a rush. My family and friends just don’t get it!

I picked up a bartending job on the side because I miss the thrill of being in a kitchen and bartending really itches that itch (plus I get free beer).

My wife hates me working the extra hours, but I make some money while having fun! I know everyone here gets this too, so I just thought I would share haha.

Good night!
