Anyone have experience with transfers g a bond?

So long story short we’ve been given 90 days notice (11/3/26) (landlord/ family moving back into property) merry Christmas to us🙄🤣

We’re hopping to get approved for rental with the same real estate and I’m wondering about transferring the bond (being so close to Christmas this would certainly make finances a lot easier)

1. Has anyone done it using the portable bonds scheme
2. Did you have any issues
3. How does it work if they need to make any claims from the bond (there shouldn’t be as the property’s in better condition now than when we got it but… you know the rest) Cheers.
