Boyfriends mom loves his ex girlfriend

I (22F) have been dating my boyfriend (25M) for about a year a half. I moved in with him and his mom not too long ago, trying to get away from a shitty situation with my stepmom. It’s been i believe 8 months since i’ve moved in. During the first month of my relationship with him I met his ex and her new boyfriend. At first I wasn’t crazy weirded out by it because my boyfriend’s mom expressed that she cares very deeply for her and wants to continue to help her in life (no problem there). But the second time we ever talked about it my boyfriend said he still has love for her (his ex) and ever since that moment I have shown extreme discomfort with the whole situation.

The first thanksgiving I spent with his family, his mother invited his ex over. This is seriously unsettling because of the fact his grandmother has dementia, and it was only my second time meeting his grandmother. So how more confused can you make a person…

Ever since I’ve moved in she’s been over twice a month. Last time she was here I cried for hours. Hours upon hours. I’ve expressed my EXTREME discomfort with the situation to him and his mom. Multiple times. His mom says she’s so sorry and she didnt mean to do it or she didn’t know they’d be staying that long but then goes on to say “as long as (my name) is happy that’s all that matters right” and now i’ve realized she’s saying that out of spite not love.

last time she was here i brought up to my boyfriend that it seems like everytime his ex comes over he HAS to leave the room for something, anything.

Today his mom texted him to help with netflix. Literally to hit the log in button. Mind you his ex and her new boyfriend are our age. They could have done it. So now I know it’s being done to make me uncomfortable.

AM I ABOUT to be the asshole for bringing this up? How extremely weird this all is?

I’m a nice person. A patient person. If you need help i’m always there to support, and i’ve always prided myself on all of that. But this is beyond me. She preaches about being a woman that supports other woman but this is not it.
