Toro 524 - ~1979
I have a Toro 524 from roughly 1979, and it been doing pretty well over the years (I picked it up in ~2016). Although I have been trying to keep it running by changing smaller things, I am starting to see oil come out of the top half of the engine which from my limited experience could mean the seals could be going.
If I were to take this beast of a snowblower to a small engine mechanic, how much time would it take to rebuild the whole engine and also fix any other issues with the blower itself? Would it be just better to get a whole new blower at that point, or an electric model?
